GRAVEYARD SHIFTERS – HEAD TURNS FIRST, EYES FOLLOW (Review by Varg The Mighty )

 

Today’s review is of Finnish Heavy Metal band Graveyard Shifters’ upcoming EP, out on August 5^th.

This unique release sounds somewhat as if Children Of Bodom were to raise hell with a mix of Heavy Metal and Hard Rock adding some slight cowboy and punk hints.

Although this description may seem odd, other ways to address this release may not seem too exact. Nonetheless, these 4 songs are really catchy, with a straightforward yet slightly melodic approach that begets catchy choruses and overall enjoyable songs. My personal highlight is “Fake It Till You Make It”, but the whole EP is filled with interesting surprises.

I recommend this album to fans of Heavy Metal, Hard Rock and Punk. My rating is of 9/10.
