Today’s review is of Basque Black Thrash Metal band Nuclear Revenge’s upcoming second album, out on July 30th.
This release displays a slight shift in their style. While they still continue blasting a straightforward type of demented aggression, on this album they seem to strive more towards an even more old-school sonority. Shedding any trace of modernity, they thus enter triumphant the primitive age renewed in a way that is similar to (very) early Kreator.
Mixing the likes of Teutonic Thrash Metal with early Black Metal influences such as Bathory, they deliver here a great amount of metal that may surely appeal too to fans of their debut. My personal highlights are “March Of The Undead” and “Dust”, but the whole album sure is a blast.
I recommend this album to fans of Black Thrash Metal and Teutonic Thrash Metal. My rating is of 9/10.
