KILLING ADDICTION – MIND OF A NEW GOD (Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of American Death Metal band Killing Addiction’s new album, out on June 1st.

This album offers the return of a classic band that have added to their sound some light hints of modernity (although this release shouldn’t really be considered as excessively unique or original in that aspect either), although this does certainly not interfere with their clearly old-school and enjoyable style.

While this album is broadly different from their debut, it still sounds like the same band and may be appealing to their original fans as well as to a new generation of headbangers. Once again they have delivered the essence of the original American Death Metal wave with no fillers and some really catchy riffs with some space for melody, but this being a really tight space to ensure no violence escapes. My personal highlights are “Prophecy Armageddon” and “Lives Unworthy Of Life”.

I recommend this album to fans of American Death Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10.
