Dûrga present their new single "Roots"

 

Roots is the first preview of Sequoia, the third LP by Valencian Dûrga The single is already published on all digital platforms and is accompanied by a video clip in addition to the activation of the album reservation from the band's website   The audiovisual piece, directed by Robert Cerdán and produced by SUAU, shows a dreamlike portrait of the conception of time and its inevitable connection with human life, a theme on which the entire album is conceptualized.     Along with this single, the post-rock band announces the preorder of their imminent new work, which can be booked from tomorrow, April 30 at wearedurga.com     The LP, recorded at the legendary Ultramarinos Costa Brava studios, will be released on June 10 by Narshardaa Records (Germany), Nooirax Producciones (Spain) and Sleepless Owl Records (France)   Dûrga makes the final leap in his career. This is what they anticipate with 'Roots', the first preview of what will be their third LP, Sequoia. In this single -available from tomorrow on all digital platforms- the Valencians mark the premise of what will come with this new work. In it, sustained by a remarkable maturity, they travel paths adjacent to their already established post-rock while incorporating new sounds with echoes of electronic, punk, hardcore or metal.   `Roots´ emerges from an overwhelming calm and deviates from the expected, with melodies in crescendo that transit between serenity and nostalgia until breaking at its most critical moment. He does so on a journey that does not lead to defeat or victory, but to acceptance. A kind of bucolic reverie that is rooted in the purest self, the one that does not fade over time. This preview is accompanied by a video clip directed by Robert Cerdán and produced by SUAU that revolves, from a dreamlike vision, around the idea of ​​time as the final judge. Every decision and every experience, intentional or not, has its final achievement.   Pre-produced by Pablo Martinez (Desakato) at OVNI Estudios and recorded by Santi García and Borja Pérez from the emblematic Ultramarinos Costa Brava studios (Toundra, Bala, Nueva Vulcano…), Sequoia will be released on June 10th.
