Today’s review is of Australian Death Metal band Beleth’s upcoming debut album, out on June 25th.
The album combines the bestiality of common Death Metal with the hard-hitting riffs and breakdowns of Groove Metal, achieving thus pretty neat tracks like “Cries Of The Fatherless”. Their particular vocal performance also notably helps in the creation of good music.
Although this release doesn’t quite stand out, it fiercely marches through already treaded lands flying high the flag of Extreme Metal. Between the blasts and brutal riffs that straightaway incite violent headbanging, some songs also leave some place for melody. Thanks to that, some sort of personal atmosphere is created by the band while still sounding pure and old-school.
I recommend this album to fans of Death Metal and Groove Metal. My rating is of 8/10.
