Balmog unfold the most haunting darkness on Eve, their stunning fourth album
BlackSeed Productions is honored to announce the release of Eve, Balmog's new album scheduled for Friday, May 28. It is a new alliance between the label and the historic Galician entity, being published on vinyl in up to 3 different versions: black vinyl, including a 16-page booklet and an A2-size poster, color vinyl, including the same booklet and poster , and a special edition 'die hard' limited to 66 copies on red vinyl and with some added extras. For its part, the CD edition will be provided by War Anthem Records and the cassette will be released by In Pulverem Mortis Prods. After the magnificent reception last year by the press and public of their EP Pillars Of Salt, Eve is another leap forward, a continuation of the band's journey towards their personal goal. Black, death, traditional heavy metal, post punk, dark rock ... But don't freak out, because Eve is all of this at the same time as none of it, and Balmog's indissoluble loyalty to extreme metal remains something she doesn't. being discussed. "This is not an experimental or avant-garde album, there is no intention to innovate," say those from Soutomaior. “We just have not set limits and we have carried out everything we had in our heads. Somehow we wanted to recreate the horror that rock music has built from The Sisters Of Mercy to Mayhem, from Pink Floyd or King Crimson to Danzig or Morbid Angel ”. This is manifested through his now famous black death, but also with gloomy settings, dissonances that evoke pure terror and nightmarish murky voices. Balmog have created something truly great and unforgiving, as groundbreaking as it is recognizable, enriching its sound to create an immense display of grim extreme metal. We are facing a true ode to dread and darkness! Eve has been produced by maestro Javi Félez at Moontower Studios, who has finally become an official member of the band after years of close collaboration, and mastered by another illustrious Jaime Gómez Arellano at Orgone Studios in London. Its iconic cover has been created by Branca Studio, while the photos of the combo have been taken by Beatriz Castillo. In the same way, 'Agnus Dei' has been composed by Varunian, the extra voices in 'Desacougo' have been performed by DTHMGR (Charon, Hatespawn) and the acoustic guitar in 'Carrion Heart' was recorded by Roberto Bustabad (Ruinas, Ovakner, Banished From Inferno, ex Machetazo).
