Today the New Order of Testament turns 33 years old, one of my favorite bands of all time and my undisputed gods of Thrash Metal !!!
To those who I see in their careers certain parallels with my beloved Saxon, since both bands due to musical quality, veteran careers, strong commitment and loyalty to their fans should be in a higher status, in fact it seems that in recent years the Time and fame are agreeing with both groups.
I remember buying New Order at a record fair in Barcelona organized by Jordi Tardà in the Born Antic back in the year 88 just released and I did it together with The Legacy, their first record, I had only read some of them and had not heard from them. heard but the cover of this New Order captivated me so I risked the money at that time and ...... freak out !!!!
Since then I have been supporting them even in their lowest hours because they have always seemed like a great band to me.
I have this album framed in the hallway of my house, to listen to it I have the CD edition. The band signed it a few years ago in the Salamandra room of L 'Hospitalet Alex Scholnick the only real "Guitar Hero" that is involved in Thrash he signed it and gave me his pick that I have framed there next to the album, Chuck Billy and Eric Pettersen also signed it as musicians of this great album, likewise Gene Hoglan and Steve DiGiorgio that piece of giant that freaked out when he signed New Order on vinyl they also signed it, although these last two musicians have been fixed in Testament for years not recorded this masterpiece, in it were the original members Loui Clemente on drums and Greg Christian on bass, this original formation here we only got to see it live at the mythical Thrash Metal festival "Clash Of Titans" in 1990 presenting at that time their brutal Lp Souls Of Black with Suicidal Tendences, Slayer and Megadeth, which by the way I am missing their poster for the Satan Things catalog, so if someone has it, tell me that we will talk about it, for which is one of those he tracked for years ..... 30 specifically !!!
