‘Leyendas del Medievo’ is the first preview of what will be the fifth album by
LÁNDEVIR, with a launch scheduled for the end of 2021. It is a topic dedicated to
the Medieval Festivities of Villena, a city that they consider their second home, since
that one of them is from there, they rehearse there for years and many moments
important of the band have happened there.
The title makes a nod to the Leyendas del Rock festival, which is held in the same
town and in which they have participated twice, the first in 2013, the first year in
that the festival was held in Villena, and the second, in the last edition 2019.
Lándevir wanted to dedicate a song to these beautiful parties recently they were
declared Asset of Cultural Interest and that the band was lucky enough to live since
inside in 2020, being the group that closed the day strong with the main concert
in the esplanade of the Castillo of Villena at midnight. During these festivals, the neighborhood
del Raval, which is the old part of the city and that surrounds the castle, goes back in
time becoming a medieval village, with a market that occupies the
practically the entire neighborhood, with all the streets, people and the castle itself
set at the time and with a multitude of activities, concerts and
theatrical and cultural performances of all kinds.
It's like a trip back in time that the band wanted to reflect so much in the song
as, above all, in the video clip, which has many images provided by the
organization of the party. The rest of the images have been recorded by Quadrovisión
and the video edited by Javi Reaktiu (Maldito Records).
As far as music is concerned, the song has been recorded, edited and produced in
our own studio by Jose María Jerez, in collaboration with Javier Rondán
(Audiorama) where it has subsequently been sent for post-production, mixing and
mastering, just like they did with their previous album ‘Desde el Silencio’. TO
In turn, the question of sound quality has been taken care of and represents another leap of
quality in it.
Lándevir has had four luxury collaborations, two of them
international Diego Palacio (Celtian) with whistles, Rosalía Sairem (Therion) and
Rocío M Arenas on vocals and backing vocals and Anna Murphy (Cellar Darling, ex Eluveitie) on the
hurdy gurdy (hurdy gurdy).
In addition, the single is supported by a whole line of exclusive merchandising, the
Official beer of the band and a story, the work of the Cadiz writer Montiel de Arnáiz,
which will also be included on the disc.
