Following the release of their first two singles “Panic Attack” and “Be Like This”, Chicago rockers Indoorsmen bring you their debut EP “Cleaning House, Pt. 1”. The song themes from the singles carry over into the rest of the tracks, focusing on internal conflicts and questioning the systems constructed around us. “Get Through” centers around the loss of a close friend and the lessons such an event forces on us. The EP closer, “Echoes”, investigates addiction and cognitive dissonance. Musically, the band shows off its range a bit more in the second half of the album. “Perspectives” slowly swells into a sonic territory almost approaching metal, and is then followed by the soulful and psychedelic “Rise Above”.
These sonic departures from the punk focused singles hint at a broader range of influences that we can expect to hear in “Cleaning House, Pt. 2” (due late spring/early summer) and any future releases from the band.
