DETRITIVOR – SCATTERED REMNANTS ( Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of Indonesian Death Metal band Detritivor’s debut album.

Unlike other Indonesian acts that tends more towards slowness and darkness similar to Swedish Death Metal, this band takes a more brutal and straightforward approach which highly reminds of Cannibal Corpse.

With restless and fast paced riffs that serve as a perfect soundtrack to a carnage and eternally pounding drums combined with a demented vocal performance, this full-length has its highlights, such as “Dead In Cruelty” and “Bleed And Butchered”, but it is a quite average kind of Death Metal. Expecting nothing new but instead awaiting for a great dose of violent extremity, this album is in fact just what you need.

I recommend this album to fans of Death Metal. My rating is of 8/10.
