OUT OF HAND – EXILITY (Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of Puerto Rican Thrash Death Metal band Out Of Hand’s debut album, out on May 7th.

This album combines the raw violence of old-school Death Metal bands with the newfound energy of modern Thrash Metal bands, adding their personal touch with perhaps a slight undertone of the particular style of Hellhammer tribute bands, especially in the vocals.

The release is straightforward with riffs that avoid any bullshit, although for some after a few tracks it may become slightly repetitive. Nonetheless, the songs are enjoyable for fans of both of the combined subgenres. Their mix of fast and common Thrash Metal melodies with the slightly slower bits and the most aggressive Death Metal parts gives good results on songs like the title track or Self-Mutilation.

I recommend this album to fans of Thrash Metal, Thrash Death Metal and Death Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10.
