We are proud to introduce you to one of our latest additions of this chaotic 2021. Folk Death Metal direct from Switzerland is what Nidhoeggr brings us, they will release their next album in October this year through this international agreement with Art Gates Records!
This sextet was formed in 2009 and is already a vital part of the Swiss Folk Metal scene. The Swiss are able to combine the brutality of Death Metal with catchy keyboard melodies, always experimenting with different sounds. They are able to create a melancholic atmosphere and then start the party with the most funky hymns. For these Swiss, variety is a very important part of their catalog. From compositions that immerse listeners in Viking times, to compositions with undertones of social criticism, you can expect anything. With his unique way of creating music, Nidhoeggr succeeds in combining the past with the most contemporary.
After releasing their debut "Nach der Schlacht" in 2015, they have been touring with the likes of Alestorm and Black Messiah. The Swiss are more than ready to conquer the scene with their devastating next album (Untitled for now)
