Corr Mhóna release Abhainn, their great new concept album Passionate about pagan sentiment and culture, watch out for April 16 because Negre planY, in collaboration with Satanath Records, will release Corr Mhóna's second album, Abhainn.   Founded in 2008, Corr Mhóna present several peculiarities that make them unique. First, they are made up of two pairs of brothers, Robert Farrow (drums, percussion) and Martin Farrow (guitar, vocals), and then Stephen Quinn (bass, vocals) and Paul Quinn (guitar, vocals). Then, they sing only in Irish Gaelic, the language of their land.   Abhainn (‘river’) is a concept album about the water and rivers of Ireland, about their paramount importance in our universal psyche. The veins of the Earth, givers of life, although they are also a force of nature that can bring destruction.   This duality is present in the music of Corr Mhóna, which is nourished by hard moments and delicate passages. The band drinks from black, death and even doom, but also combines traditional Irish melodies, and folklore and mythology appear in their lyrics. The screams and gutturals contrast with harmonious clean choruses, creating highly varied and sometimes progressive atmospheres and textures.   Recorded, mixed and mastered by Michael Richards at Trackmix Recording Studio, Dublin, its artwork has been provided by Mairéad McGuinness ART.   Enslaved, Primordial, Agalloch, Pallbearer or Lux Divina are names that can be evoked by listening to Corr Mhóna, although all the specific characteristics of the quartet make their second work a unique journey.   1.
