AXE WITCH – OUT OF THE ASHES INTO THE FIRE (Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of Swedish Heavy Metal band Axe Witch’s upcoming comeback album, out on April 30th.

This release is just as good as the classics they created in the 80s, and the band seems to have returned with a lot of newly achieved strength. The style is essentially the same, although perhaps their technique has been perfected and some songs tend more towards Hard Rock, notably “In Pitch Black Darkness”, which brings to mind Cinderella, but overall they’re the same.

On his album nothing but classic Metal with powerful riffs and an epic side to it may be expected. Other tracks I highlight are “Let Sleeping Dogs Lie” and “The Healer”, but the whole album is nice (perhaps a little too long though). This band’s return is much welcomed, especially with this upcoming memorable opus.

I recommend this album to fans of Heavy Metal and Hard Rock. My rating is of 9/10.

VARG THE MIGHTY.
