Kostas Sampanis _ "Autumne" EP Release (Instrumental Prog Rock)

Costas Sampanis is a composer and guitarist from Athens. Graduate of the Department of Music Studies of EKPA, with studies of electric guitar, classical harmony, modern theory and jazz harmony at the Conservatory of Music Practice. From a very young age, he realized his love for the progressive sound and he was influenced by many bands and artists, most notably Opeth and Porcupine Tree who played the most important role in his personal aesthetics and in the way he perceives the sound in general.

"Autumne", is his first EP and includes 5 Instrumental tracks that travel the listener through very melodic & emotional paths, creating a deep nostalgia for the past - years, places and people. Costas' compositions take us to the places where he grew up, to the first music he ever heard, in the figures of his loved ones, in the love and respect he has for nature where he realized he wanted to commit himself to music.

"Autumne" is an emotional work, well-structured from beginning to end. From nostalgia, to the promise of meeting again and finally a farewell. Pure progressive elements, with colourful expressiveness, delicate rendition, flawless compositions.
