Today’s review is of American Power Metal singer George Tsalikis’ upcoming second solos album, out on March 26th.
This album is quite diverse, mixing pretty well classic Power Metal in the style of Helloween with American Heavy Metal in the likes of Iced Earth. Some songs are very straightforward, like “Live To Ride” or “Together We Rise”, but some tracks really catch very well the most epic side of Power Metal with deep riffs and an outstanding vocal performance, like “Dehumanized” or “In Memory”, which is kind of a ballad but in the dramatic Power Metal style, not in the typical and lousy one.
Combining classic guitar melodies with nice solos and good backing keyboards every now and then, this album catches very well the intended concept, and it may be one of the most interesting Power Metal releases of the year at the moment.
I recommend this album to fans of American Heavy Metal and Power Metal. My rating is of 9,7/10.
