Claustrofobia releases single "Riff Cult" on all digital platforms via Canil Records

 

One of the biggest names in national metal, the band Claustrofobia, releases the new single, entitled "Riff Cult", on all streaming platforms through the Canil Records label. The single, along with the video clip, was released exclusively by Decibel Magazine in December last year. The single features death, groove and thrash metal riffs, and is a very special song for the band, which chose to release it as an independent single, as it brings the traditional structure of Claustrofobia mixed with the modern footprint that the band currently presents. “After a wonderful opportunity to hold the video clip premiere at Decibel Magazine, we decided to make“ Riff Cult ”available on digital platforms. Initially this song would be part of the next album, but due to the situation the planet is in, unfortunately it will take time for the release of the new album. So, we thought it best to release the song as an independent single, who knows the track as a bonus in the next job ”, explains vocalist Marcus D`Angelo.

"Riff Cult" was produced by renowned Brazilian producer Adair Daufembach who has worked with names like Megadeth, Angra, Kiko Loureiro, Aquiles Priester, Dirk Verbeuren and Tony MacAlpine. For Claustrofobia, the song is a tribute to Riffs, a key component of metal. Vocalist Marcus D'Angelo emphasizes this aspect by stating “We consider a culture, a cult. It is the hook of all Metal, everything is born from the guitar riff. And Riff after Riff (Riff by Riff), we are fueling our passion for Metal, fueling our desire to continue the legacy. The Riff is what addicts us in a good way. In this quarantine the love for Metal became more evident, without shows and without contact with the fans, so we decided to pay tribute and celebrate ”. The single "Riff Cult" is now available and can be heard on all streaming platforms.   Formed and led by the D'Angelo brothers in 1994 in Brazil, the power trio definitely achieves its status as one of the ambassadors of Brazilian heavy metal, accumulating years of experience and the unmistakable enthusiasm that has won countless shows, such as the tour that crossed the United States in 2019 as co-headliners of the band MASTER, opening for Slayer's farewell tour in São Paulo, and performing at Rock in Rio 2019 alongside the bands Nervosa, Torture Squad, Anthrax and Slayer.
