Today’s review is of American Experimental Black Metal band Moribundus Christus’ new album.
This release is quite appropriately named, for it sure is violent and hostile, although not in the classic way that may sometimes lean towards War Metal. Instead, they take a more Industrial approach, with big hints of Avant-Garde.
The result is really weird, and such an odd vocal performance does not make it any more common. The band uses a lot of experimentation, although the way towards which they lean may not seem pleasing for most listeners. You must be in the mood to check this out and have an open mind, for it even has influences of Noisecore. Personally, the track I would recommend to check out the most is “Death – The Great Divide”, for it displays the most the unique style of this band.
I recommend this album to fans of Experimental, Industrial and Avant-Garde Black Metal. My rating is of 6/10.
