Today’s review is of American Black Metal band Kvlt Of Odium’s new EP.
These tracks are a display of sharp and violent Black Metal, some kind of mix of Norwegian and Finnish elements with the style adopted by American bands. With these nice riffs that sometimes even tend slightly towards an atmospheric kind of Black Metal, a malevolently high pitched Burzum-like vocal performance like the one here displayed fits really well.
This EP is kind of average Black Metal, but the songs are quite catchy and have a decent composition. This band seems interesting as to follow their track. My personal highlight is “Recruitment To War”, but all 4 tracks are unique in their own way, each displaying what this emerging band is capable of.
I recommend this to fans of Black Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10.
