Today’s review is of Greek Black Metal band Ensarcosis Demonica’s debut album.
This release seems to combine the feeling of “The Somberlain” era Dissection with that particular mystic feeling of Hellenic Black Metal with the aid of a great musicianship. You would expect such a mix to breed lengthy and complex tracks, but instead they opt for shorter, more concise and violent songs that prove they play true Black Metal.
With incredible solos and a nice bass guitar composition, this album is much more aggressive than you would expect, and it also transmits a particular kind of darkness pretty well. This is a band that will surely curate every time more their releases until someday a grand timeless opus is unveiled, so I would recommend checking them out. I personally highlight the songs “The Revenge Of Hierarchy”, “The Arrival Of The Eldest Visitors” and “Our Religion Of Blood”.
I recommend this album to fans of Hellenic Black Metal, Melodic Black Metal and Black Death Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10.
