The single in question is called The Gamble with a very nice cover by illustrator Sophia Den Breems that summarizes very well the latest adventures of the band on their 2019/2020 tour "Bandits On The Run" before and during the current global pandemic of the Covid-19.
The Cards since its foundation at the end of 2018 have taken their careers very humbly, as expansion and fun of their members in other territories outside of Metal and they bet on their tour to "sneak" into small Blues / Rock festivals both for payment, and Most of them are free or for small rooms and bars from all over Western and Eastern Europe (Spain is different as always ...).
Taking this adventure in a very different way than Biff Byford did with the edition of his magnificent solo debut School Of Hard Knocks released on 2/21/20, in which he scheduled a mini UK tour of theaters alongside a American comedian who would open his concerts, with tickets at a high price and all this at the door in a world convulsed by Covid.
I myself together with Ana were going to go to Liverpool for a weekend to see him, but the low ticket sales made him cancel the tour and everything had to do with it, the price of his tickets and the Covid, while The cards went up to rented vans and minivans, trains and buses with all the equipment that musicians carry and they began to travel the Old Continent in a much more modest way, they were in Italy at its worst moment of the Covid,
where they already canceled all their bowling and they jumped to Eastern Europe until the last moment when the whole world succumbed to the pandemic and ran from city to city some days canceling and others playing while the Covid-19 bit their ass, of there that funny cover of the single that today they release on all digital platforms through Spaceage Prroducction, although I have no fucking idea how these things work, I'm 52 and I'm an 80s Heavy who hates digital technology, so I already bought this single in a limited edition vinyl pre order and I hope to have it in my hands soon and play it on the turntable, which is as if it were !!!
THE CARDS ON THE RUN !!!!!
