Today’s review is of Swedish Groove Metal band Knogjärn’s new album, which has just been reissued with a bonus track that fits perfectly well with the other tracks.
The album starts with a kind of Death n’ Roll feeling to it that makes it sound as a mixture between Entombed’s “Wolverine Blues” and Pantera’s “Vulgar Display Of Power”, and this combination gives us some really nice songs like the title track or “Bit För Bit”.
As the album progresses, this Death Metal influence seems to vanish to be substituted by a full Groove Metal approach that also delivers good results, but not as great as the initial tracks. At the end, some songs even sound kind of filler and could’ve been omitted to deliver a more aggressive and overall good album. Nonetheless, this is a pretty decent release with some memorable songs that may be enjoyed by fans of many different subgenres.
I recommend this to fans of Death n’ Roll and Groove Metal. My rating is ofToday’s review is of Swedish Groove Metal band Knogjärn’s new album, which has just been reissued with a bonus track that fits perfectly well with the other tracks.
