IGNITED – STEELBOUND (Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of Brazilian Heavy Metal band Ignited’s debut album.
Starting off straight away with one of the heaviest songs (“Ignition”), an incredible vocal performance comparable to Rob Halford brings us to Painkiller-era Judas Priest, and they mostly continue with this style throughout the album, combining it too with the style of the most modern Judas Priest albums.
Beneath the incredible Heavy Metal screams and occasional twin guitars, you can also sometimes detect on songs like “Pain” that they tend towards the King Diamond-inspired style leaded by bands like Portrait (although the horror that comes with it is omitted), a very rare and great surprise among the tons of similar albums released. This combination of the two most amazing Heavy Metal styles gives a good result, which also displays virtuosity on some good solos every now and then.
I recommend this album to fans of Heavy Metal, especially of the styles of Judas Priest and King Diamond. My rating is of 9/10.
