Harakiri For The Sky release ‘Sing For The Damage We've Done’, their new single with Neige de Alcest
With their next album Mӕre, to be released on January 29 (February 19 in the US), Harakiri For The Sky have delivered the soundtrack to this year's desolation, and now comes another single from the Austrian duo with the gray clouds. November: 'Sing For The Damage We've Done' is a particularly haunting highlight of the 84-minute album that once again combines the melancholic spirit of black metal and post rock.
As a guest vocalist, the band has chosen none other than French blackgaze pioneer Neige de Alcest, who adds a fragile, nostalgic touch to a track that blends seamlessly into the group's discography with his catchy M.S signature guitar riffs.
Neige commented, “I am honored to have been invited to perform the guest voice on Harakiri For The Sky's song‘ Sing For The Damage We’ve Done ’. We have been friends for many years and it is a real pleasure to have been a small part of their new album! I hope you like the theme! ”.
"This song is about distancing," adds singer and lyricist J.J. about the meaning of the topic. “The feeling of coexisting side by side and starting to hate the other person, which always leads to more or less damage and injuries. The misunderstanding of why the other person no longer understands you, and the constant question of why everything has to end in an ugly way. When they can't live with each other, but neither can one without the other… ”.
