HEGEROTH – PERFIDIA ( Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of Polish Black Metal band Hegeroth’s upcoming third album.
Instead of adopting their country’s own brand of Black Metal, on this album they have tended much more for the classical Norwegian style, and a voice like Vulcano-era Satyricon is of an enormous help to achieve this. While the music is also quite similar to that album, it also implements much older characteristics to their songs.
Filled with chilling full-blasts and quite catchy riffs, the sound is definitely compared to the second wave of Black Metal. Although some songs are kind of similar, most of them are quite unique and have their own dissonant atmosphere. My personal highlights are “How Sore Can Be The Fall” and “The Wind Embraces Me”.
I recommend this album to fans of Norwegian Black Metal. My rating is of 8,5/10.
