Eternal Winter - Archaic Lore Enshrined

Known as "The True Knights of Metal", the American heavy metal band, ETERNAL WINTER have been gracing the underground with their unique brand of dark and epic, true power metal since 2002. Led by vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Matthew Knight, Eternal Winter's music ranges from melodic and progressive to dark, savage and heavy.
Following their 2014 underground debut WITHIN THE CASTLE SHADOWGATE, on Sept. 16th 2020 ETERNAL WINTER unleashed a brand new opus - ARCHAIC LORE ENSHRINED: SONGS OF SAVAGE SWORDS & DARK MYSTICISM. The band has made their triumphant return with 13 tracks of dark & unique epic metal mysteria. Based on tales of sword & sorcery, Gothic literature, pulp fiction and heroic fantasy, this collection is sure to please any fan of metallic blood & thunder.
A fitting sonic tribute to literary masters such as Robert E. Howard, Clark Ashton Smith, Michael Moorcock, C. L. Moore, and others, ETERNAL WINTER delivers the goods in royal story-telling fashion. In addition to over-the-top epics loaded with vocal theatrics and shredding musicianship, the song cycle also includes a lengthy duet between Matthew Knight and David DeFeis of VIRGIN STEELE (THE DARK KINGDOM). Featured as well are the talents of Edgar Allan Poe interpreter/impersonator David Keltz. His haunting narration adorns the intro to the band's version of the classic STORMWITCH track MASQUE OF THE RED DEATH.
