ARSEBREED – BUTOH ( Review by Varg The Mighty )

Today’s review is of Netherlandish Brutal Death Metal band Arsebreed’s new album.
Marking the return of the band, this album with intros and outros that connect each song displays their technical brutality at work.
With a modern sound to it and a lot of elaborate riffs without the need of harmonics, this album seems nice at first, but ends up being slightly monotonous, with short songs that sound almost the same with recurrent song structures, but the numerous solos help a bit to make it more dynamic.
It is a curious and definitely original idea to connect like this each song, but the actual music lacks some originality as to really stand out, but it doesn’t mean that the album is bad, only that it is quite typical. Nonetheless, the vocals are more interesting than on average, with a slight reminding of Incantation mixed with the common vocal techniques of their subgenre.
I recommend this album to fans of Brutal Death Metal and Technical Death Metal.
