Today, Detroit death metallers Jesus Wept stream the entirety of their new EP, Apartheid Redux, at heavily trafficked web-portal GrizzlyButts.com. Set for international release on August 21st via Redefining Darkness Records, stream Jesus Wept's Apartheid Redux in its entirety exclusively HERE.
Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, Jesus Wept self-released their (digital-only) debut EP, Crushing Apartheid, in late 2017, unleashing their brand of sleaze-soaked death metal upon the industrial wasteland they call home. Described as "Carcass for the next generation," Jesus Wept’s sound hearkens back to the Heartwork and Swansong era
With a myriad of bands trying to "out-brutalize" one another or sound more '90s than the next (while you know we love that...), Jesus Wept bring in some much-needed relief by way of rockin' headbanging riffage coupled with solid musicality.
Hear all of it for yourself - plus the special W.A.S.P. cover - in advance of Apartheid Redux's release this Friday exclusively HERE, courtesy of GrizzlyButts.com. Preorder info can be found HERE at Redefining Darkness' Bandcamp. Cover art, courtesy of Brian Sheehan | Legerdemain Art, and tracklisting are as follows:
