ETHEREAL SEA - FORGOTTEN MEMORIES OF TOMORROW ( Review by David Kiss )

Many people say that Rock is dead, I do not agree with that damn phrase, but when every day I hear new proposals that are coming to us at the Bathoryzine newsroom; It is cool to listen to the great bands in the history of music when they bring out their new proposals, but the great bands in their beginnings were small or unknown who wanted to live from music, Ethereal Sea are possibly in the wake of being a small band with a future journey.
This Washington quartet may be a lesser-known band, but they are growing with this second album "Forgotten Memories Of Tomorrow", the first chords of "Wild" remind me of the "Californication" of the acclaimed Red Hot Chili Peppers, " Mind Island "drinks from Jimi Hendrix himself, being from the same city it would be an aberration not to have this magnificent influence. The rest of the album has those overtones of Soungarden, Nirvana, the grounge of Seatlle breathes in his magnificent songs, Walter introduces the keyboard very well in the composition "Close Your Eyes".

If you like groups like Kyuss, Audiosleave, Queens Of The Stone Age, The Stoner, psychedelia, give them a listen, you will have a good time!

Dustin Bartee - Guitarist, Vocalis
Richard Boone - Drums
Cole Johnson - Bass
Walter Hansen - Keyboards
