"Cross Contamination" features 8 tracks of old school thrash metal with a lot of 240 bpm parts.
Intoxicate hails from Gothenburg, Sweden and was formed
in 1988 as one of the first thrash bands in that area. Three demotapes
were released and got some recognition in the worldwide
underground-scene until they split in 1991.
Intoxicate were asked to reunite for a gig at Gothenburg
Sound Festival in 2015, a tribute-festival for the bands that created
“The Gothenburg Sound”. Although they weren't a part of that creation,
Intoxicate played live with those bands in the old days when they first
started, and therefore were asked to play with them again.
With four out of five original members, they hit the
stage again and haven´t stopped playing since then. The band had a
mini-tour in the Netherlands, played some gigs in Gothenburg with
Hatesphere, Pagandom, Nightrage and more. In the meantime they started
to write, rehearse and record “Cross Contamination” which was mixed by
Anders Backelin (ex-Lord Belial) and mastered by the greatest guitar
player on planet earth, Andy LaRoque.
