"Convicted of the Right" EP :
The Convicted Of The Right EP features a raft of exclusive b sides, recorded specially for the release. The band travelled down to The Lab in London where they recorded three tracks, live in the studio, over the course of a five-hour session.
Speaking about the release, frontman Phil Stiles said:
“We’d always wanted to do a live, in-session recording. I grew up on the likes of John Peel and, in many cases, the session tracks artists recorded eclipsed the studio versions. As a band, we’ve always been meticulous in our recordings, so it was really cool to try to capture some of our live fire in a live session without the safety net of overdubs.”
The tracks, comprising two pieces from acclaimed debut Persistence Of Memory, as well as Empty Handed from The World We Left Behind For Others, take on a different form in their live iteration, recalling the band’s alt-rock roots and offering a glimpse of the fury of their live performances.
The "Convicted Of The Right" EP will be released both digitally and on limited edition cassette and provides the perfect conclusion to the incredible journey of "The World We Left Behind For Others". The journey of Final Coil however, is just beginning...
