Earth Collider is a thrash metal band based out of Asheville, NC. Earth Collider is Barry on lead guitar and backing vocals, Oscar on drums and backing vocals, Ben on bass and backing vocals, Richie on lead guitar and, Brian as lead vocals. Earth Collider has a very unique sound that can be compared to a mixture of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, early Slayer, Metallica, Anthrax, Black Sabbath, Motorhead, with a splash of Dead Kennedy’s. They have used elements of Thrash, New Wave British Heavy Metal, and elements of Punk to promote both hope and warning. They are a band that seeks to express a full spectrum of emotions and ideals through flourishing guitar leads, grinding but technical rhythm guitar, funky but pounding bass, and thrashing tribal drumming. Earth Collider's lyrics explore humanity from both the positive and negative, delving into the positive aspects of great thinkers and great ideas that would move humanity forward, but also negative aspects of humanity's propensity to war, greed, destruction, and religion.
They have been highlighted in the last edition of Thrashville, Asheville’s metal magazine and featured on Asheville FM's Music Sessions.
They have played at local venues like The Mothlight, The Odditorium, Static Age Records, Fleetwood’s, and French Broad Outfitters. They have also played Ground Zero in Greenville, SC, Art Bar in Columbia, SC and Somewhere Else Tavern in Greensboro, NC.
Earth Collider has shared the stage with bands like Lor, Black Mass, Mega Colossus, All Hell, Neverfall, just to name a few well known bands.
They have a previously recorded demo, but have released a full track album in March of 2020, Twilight of Man.
